About the Album
This album was recorded in the rolling coastal hills of Adalaida, California during the winter of 2021, during the COVID 19 pandemic. The studio, dubbed "Hill Studio" is located at the recording engineer's home; Eric Patterson of the Turkey Buzzards. The country setting of the studio nestled amongst the oaks and wildflowers couple with Patterson's expertise in folk and country music was the perfect setting to complete this project. Prior to recording, Miss Leo embarked on the challenging process of launching her first crowdfunding campaign to raise the money to make the album, Fortunately, her efforts were very successful.
The songs on "All I Need" were written over the course of a few years and represent Miss Leo's favorite original works and two covers. All songs on this record were performed and recorded live with the Miss Leo Trio in studio. The Miss Leo Trio consists of Miss Leo on guitar and lead vocals, Scott Marlin on fiddle and backing vocals, and Scott Conroy on a upright bass as well as other instruments and backing vocals. Two guest musicians are also present on a few tracks: Andy O'Brien on mandolin and Brenneth Stevens on the pedal steel. Mixing and mastering was complete by Central Coast, CA local Kirk MacLane. This record is Miss Leo's proudest accomplishment as a musician.
